The distance to the actual neighbor is about 120 m. There is a shooting range nearby, distance is about 1.5 km. Ounasjoki river is great for fishing enthusiasts. There are grayling, trout, whitefish and pike in the river. Ounasjoki has joint permit area (www.ounasjoki.fi). Small game hunting opportunity on the owner’s land. 1000 ha of hunting areas are available, permits from the owner. Opportunity also for pheasant and duck hunting on the pond. In addition, the owner has meat processing (vacuuming, meat grinder) and freezing facilities. Wild boar meat available as fresh, canned, smoked and sausage. Small game hunting area on state owned lands: 2613 Maunu and 2612 Levi, well reachable (www.eraluvat.fi). Särestöniemi museum on the other side of the river, the distance is 2.5 km along the river (about 18 km along the road). In winter, the nearest maintained ski trail starts from Särestö leading to both Ylläs and Levi. The owner makes a connecting trail from the cabin to the Särestö ski trail.
