In the district of Méribel-Mottaret, 3.5 km from the centre of Méribel, 25 km from the centre of Moutiers, in an elevated position on a slope, directly by the skiing area. In the complex: lounge, WiFi (extra). Playroom, storage room for skis, washing machine (for shared use, extra). Communal covered parking (extra). Parking space or garage only for small to medium-sized cars. Dimension: height 200 cm. Shop 500 m, restaurant 1.3 km. Walking paths from the house, slopes 50 m, ski rental 100 m. 1'450 - 2'700 m a.s.l. >>The Olympic town of Meribel is situated in the municipality of Meribel-les Allues and is famous for its chalet architecture. Maribel-les-Allues is made up of many resorts, the most important are: Les-Allues (1100 m), Meribel Centre (1450 m), Meribel-Mottaret (1800 m). These stations are in the heart of the world's largest ski resort, Les 3 Vallees Town with 1'900 inhabitants, 43 km south-west from Bourg St Maurice, 94 km south-east from Chambéry, 123 km north-east from Grenoble. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Disco, cinema. Indoor aquatic centre, wellness centre. Bowling. Casino in Brides les Bains. Worth seeing: Baroque church, Les Allues museum, La Vanoise national park.

Summer

River rafting. Tennis, golf course 18 hole. Minigolf. Riding. Fishing. Hiking paths, climbing. "Parcours Accrobranches" (safe tree-climbing), paragliding.

Winter

Ski-region Méribel. 16 cable cabins, 18 chair lifts, 14 drag lifts, 8 children's ski lifts. 74 ski runs, total length 150 km, snowboard slope, halfpipe. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school from 4 years old, ski kindergarten from 2 years old. Cross country ski tracks. Ice rink. Handiski, snowshoe hikes, motor sledge rides. Snow cannons. Connected to the Les 3 Vallees ski resort with 600 km ski pistes and 190 mountain railways. Calais 949 km. Planned dates for 2007/8: resort opens 8 Dec 2007. Resort closes 27 Apr 2008.

Die Wohnung ist mehr oder weniger OK aber nicht mehr Zeitgemäss. Kein WLAN und nur ein TV Gerät mit 20 französischen Sendern.WLAN ist nur im Rezeptionsbereich möglich. Wir gehen seit ca. 15 Jahren nach Mottaret in die Odalys Unterkunft. Jedes Jahr teurer aber keine Modernisierung.

Endlich - Skifahren in Trois Vallées nach CoronaAxel B.

Wie gewohnt angenehmes Ambiente und umfassende Infrastruktur (Skipassverkauf, Supermarkt, Restaurants, ..., perfekte Organisation und selbst in diesen Zeiten ... war unsere Woche in Mottaret pure Erholung abseits des Alltags. Die Unterkunft kann ich ohne Abstriche weiterempfehlen,
