Valais is home to the longest land tunnel in the world, the Lotschberg Base Tunnel, which connect the town of Frutigen and Bern by rail. You can also enjoy the extensive network of mountain railways and cable cars through the mountains, with the scenic rail route across the Furka Pass originating in Valais.
