Location Description Vejers Strand

Cosy bathing resort with 70 inhabitants, directly by the sea, 35 km north-west from Esbjerg. In the resort: supermarket. More possibilities for shopping 12 km. Sights Kærgaard Plantage 13 km, Refugee Museum of Denmark 13 km, lakes nearby.

Summer

Sandy beach, 3 km long, gently sloping, with beach facilities, suitable for children. Minigolf. Riding. Fishing (permit required). Hiking paths. Bicycle paths, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire. The west coast is rough, fresh, roaring and delightfully exhilarating. You will find long, wide and sandy beaches with high dunes as far as the eye can see. You can experience some of Denmark's most scenic sunsets over the North See from the beaches in western Jutland. If you prefer calmer water and characteristic natural experiences, you ought to visit the preserved peninsula Skallingen, where the seals are gambolling, or the bird sanctuary Tipperne at Ringkobing Fjord. These places offer impressive sights, as millions of migratory birds gather here every spring and autumn on their way towards north or south. By the lighthouse 'Blaavandshuk Fyr' you will find Denmark's most western point. Surrounding the lighthouse the many concrete bunkers still bear widness of World War II.

We had a wonderful stay at the holiday home "Jorid". It was exactly what we imagined when thinking of "hygge". The house is cozy and looks just like it does in the pictures. It feels as though someone was living there just yesterday, which added to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The only minor issue was the lack of waste separation, but we managed by taking our recyclables to the nearby campsite. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Beim ersten Besuch vor ein paar Jahren haben wir uns gleich verliebt in dieses wunderschöne, fast 100 Jahre alte Haus in den Dünen mit der Aufschrift "Ty-i-L,y", das uns gleich ins Herz geschlossen hat und haben darin eine glückliche Zeit verbracht - und uns nicht an den schmalen Betten und engem Bad gestört. Fernsehen und Wlan haben wir sowieso nicht vermisst. Jetzt nach dem dritten Besuch stellen wir fest, dass nichts Altes und Morsches erneuert wurde, auch Gartenmöbel sind zum Teil verschwunden. Das ist sehr schade, aber für uns hat das Haus seinen Zauber verloren. Vielleicht entdeckt es ja jemand Anderes neu.

Ich komme wieder

Einfaches, aber liebevolles Ha...

Einfaches, aber liebevolles Haus. Küche und Bad vertragen eine Modernisierung, aber es ist trotzdem gepflegt und alles vorhanden. Rausfallschutz an den Hochbetten ist vorhanden, Leitern allerdings nicht. Die Lage ist perfekt, Strand und Ort sind fußläufig. Wir (Familie mit zwei Kindern 3 und 5) würden dort wieder hinfahren.
